Richmond Avenue Music Group

started as an ASCAP music publishing company started by singer/songwriter Darryn Yates. Best known for being the singer/songwriter of the pop rock band On Tracy Lane, Darryn began writing songs in his high school band, Red Destiny, in Granite City IL. He continued working on songwriting as he moved to southern California and played in & wrote for bands Silent Dream (San Diego), EarCandy (Los Angeles), and Smackerjack (Los Angeles) before founding On Tracy Lane in Los Angeles in 2004.

In 2006, he started publishing his music through his own company, Richmond Avenue Music. Darryn has had his music placed in several shows on MTV, Nascar commercials, and other films and cable TV shows. He spent a couple years in Nashville, TN before setting up headquarters for Richmond Avenue Music and On Tracy Lane in St. Louis, Mo in 2010.

Darryn partnered with songwriter and guitarist, Jerry McFarland, and the two continued to build the Richmond Avenue Music catalog. This led the group to record with Grammy-award-winning producers and getting their music heard and published even further. Darryn and Jerry also developed marketing, branding, promotion, and design strategies for their band. With their songwriting and marketing strategies, On Tracy Lane has an online following of 250,000 and growing, sold thousands of units, and traveled the world with no support from major labels or companies.
